Hotel Heat Map: Andaz Maui at Wailea

Living in the Bay Area, we are so spoiled because its pretty easy to jump on a quick nonstop flight to Maui!  Hawaii has always been one of my favorite destinations but Maui specifically always makes my heart sing.

The Andaz Maui at Wailea opened in 2013 and I'd venture to say that its Maui's chicest resort!  When you arrive at the hotel you first see a visually stunning Ambrato stone walk way leading to the open air reception area, complete with homemade lavender lemonade and a large sand pit in the center.  Once you enter the lobby you can see three stunning tiered infinity pools draping over the edge of the property.  These infinity pools give you insane views of the beach and ocean while sipping a Mai Tai!

This hotel is very sleek and sexy but does not lack any of the comforts that you would expect in a luxury resort.  Each room not only has high thread count sheets and a huge walk in shower but also boasts an iPad, complimentary reusable water bottles and local snacks to enjoy during your stay.  The hotel also has a 24 hour market that serves everything from acai bowls to homemade donuts in the morning.  The hotel has two other restaurants on property, Morimoto and Ka'ana Kitchen.  Morimoto is right on the edge of the property so you can sit on the patio with your nigiri tasting and watch the sunset.  Ka'ana Kitchen serves innovative and unique flavors that center are Maui Farm to Table.

The Andaz Maui at Wailea always keeps me coming back for many reasons but mostly because the staff here makes you feel like family, you become their Ohana.

Hotel Heat Map: Four Seasons Bora Bora

There is something so magical about Bora Bora!  Can you imagine anything better relaxing in your own private overwater bungalows (with your own balcony) and stunning crystal blue water that fades into a rich indigo color right below your feet?  I can't!  Bora Bora truly feels like your own private island which a super chic and sophisticated vibe.

I am a huge believer that where you stay during your travels really matters and every detail about this hotel lives up to my very high expectations.  The hotel greets you at the outdoor (overwater!) airport with a fresh lei and refreshing bottle of water and takes you back to the resort in a custom Four Seasons yacht.  From the moment you step foot on the property, you are treated with incredible warmth and friendliness.  The bungalows are all very spacious and beautifully appointed with traditional Polynesian furniture.  The best part is a gigantic fluffy bed with sliding glass doors that open onto your private deck that spans the length of your bungalow.

In addition to the seemingly endless stretches of white sandy beaches, lagoons and quiet places to explore on the property, this hotel offers several great dining experiences which are all different and unique.  During our stay, we visited the Sunset Bar daily to catch the daily fiery sunsets and enjoy a glass of wine.  One night, Four Seasons arranged a dinner for us on our own private island (!!!!) complete with our own private Polynesian fire dancing show.

Our stay at the Four Seasons Bora Bora was nothing short of spectacular and its truly one of my favorite destinations in the entire world!
